SOFTWARE TRAINER
JOB LOCATION: Belgium
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
As a representative of our company you’ll be asked to present and demonstrate our SDK’s to the customers. Train the customer in setting up and using the development environment. Explain to the customer how to start developing an application using the SDK. Assist the customer in choosing the best technology offered by our SDK for the job at hand. Get the customer acquainted with the developer and API documentation. Collect feedback from the customer and communicate to the Technicolor developer community in order to improve the product. Use the SDK to write simple demo programs in order to get familiar with the environment and provide feedback to the SDK developers. Assist in setting up a (web-based) training framework. Record video presentations/tutorials and make them available for the SDK developer community. Once you’re acquainted with our technical solutions, regular international business trips (few days to a week) will be required.
PROFILE
Education
- Bachelor/Master degree (ideally in a Computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience
Experience
- Some experience in adult learning theory and technical training
- Experience in presenting technically complex material in a structured, simple, understandable and to the point manner to a group of software engineersa
- Experience with SW development
- Experience with different OS’es (Windows, MacOSX, Linux)
- Experience of working directly with internal or external customers
- Experience with creating a training framework is a plus
Technical skills :
- Coding skills in C, java, scripting language.
- Basic knowledge of computer network concepts (bridge, switch, routing, TCP/IP, firewall, NAT, …) and willing to improve her/his knowledge.
- Familiar with Eclipse is a plus.
- Very good and technically to the point presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a preference to work in a collaborative environment.
- Able to coach software engineers.
- A high degree of personal organization, self reliance, desire for success and a positive/
constructive attitude are vital
Language - Dutch, Fluent English is mandatory
