JOB TITLE: ANALYTIC SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: SALES
MAIN PURPOSE:
Support our client in the area of analytics. This will include:
- The use of analytics as a differentiator to win and increase the value of software deals
- Drive analytic best practice & provide thought leadership
- Provide extensive domain expertise
- Undertake analytic projects as either pre-sales or paid consulting projects
- Develop Intellectual property in analytics for our client
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To be acknowledged as a source of domain expertise in the technology area of Analytics.
2. To use analytics to win and increase the value of deals; ensuring that it’s utilised effectively in every opportunity. Will include:
- Delivery of Analytics sessions to educate of all our clients customer facing staff.
- Customer facing analytic support for all sales and practice teams. Supporting the sales team in customer situations at "C" Level, use Solution Selling techniques to create a compelling vision in formal meetings, workshops and presentations.
- Present and demonstrate our clients analytic solutions to clients and at public events
- Input into business cases, proposals & account planning activities. Includes qualifying sales opportunities and identifying risk.
- Support the Platform Practice in the creation of sales related knowledge assets for bid responses, presentations and demonstrations.
- Maintain awareness of sales pipeline and year-to-date software sales situation
3. Undertake proof-of-concept activity and data exercises
- Work with the customer and sales team to define the project.
- Undertake analysis and analytic modelling work to a defined specification.
- Proactively identify and assess risk and escalate to our client/project management.
- Input into the identification of document standards, tools and methodologies to promote repeatable success.
- Maintain awareness of project pipeline and status.
4. Drive analytic best practice & provide thought leadership
- Review and document customers existing analytic use of our client. This may include working with marketing and PS.
- Maintain analytic knowledge & relevant product knowledge. Undertake research in analytic theory as well as technology. Develop a specialism in one or more analytical areas
- Input into the delivery of customer analytics workshops to educate and promote the use of analytics.
- Attend and speak at industry, academic and professional forums.
- Identify potential product improvements from own experience and customer feedback.
- Attend and present at our clients internal workgroups, conferences, user group meetings.
- Maintain awareness of the strengths and weaknesses of our clients competitors.
5. Create additional Intellectual Property
- Input into the creation of additional IP for our client to bring additional revenue by selling analytic ‘models’.
- Utilise and further develop specified existing owned IP.
6. Other
- Assist with staff recruitment, development and mentoring
- Adhere to company policies, processes and procedures. Play an active part in their development.
- Any other task as may be requested by your manager in order to meet the needs of the business
